Founded in 1985, the Hobson Charity is the Hobson family’s grant-giving charity, established by Sir Ronald Hobson, a British entrepreneur, business owner and dedicated philanthropist.
Together with his wife, Lady Marina Hobson, the Charity was shaped by a shared commitment to supporting those in need and making a practical difference through thoughtful grant-giving.
Lady Hobson continued to lead the Charity with great care and dedication until her passing in March 2026. Her warmth, generosity and unwavering support for charitable causes remain at the heart of the Charity’s work.
Today, the Charity continues to operate in accordance with the founders’ vision, guided by family trustees and supported by a small administrative team.
